 Google Chicago is excited to co-host an event with Lesbians Who Tech + Allies to provide an inside glimpse high impact work happening across the Chicago tech market. Join us for an evening of thought provoking discussion, learning, and connecting.

 


During this event, Lesbian Who Tech + Allies members can expect to:

 

1. Hear from Google and  leaders about key trends influencing the future of technology. 
2. Learn about the exciting Google Chicago job opportunities in Cloud Infrastructure, Application Development, Big Data & Analytics, Machine Learning, SAP and what a day-in-the-life looks like.

Lilah is a technology leader focused on helping organizations advance their digital agenda's by making smart data decisions focused on using information in a useful and meaningful way. 

Previously, Lilah held sales leadership positions at some of the most successful technology companies in the world including Microsoft and Oracle. In these roles, as a broad business leader, Lilah was in charge of all aspects of client and partner relationships with a portfolio of strategic accounts for both enterprise and mid-market customers across a range of industries. 

Lilah earned a Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University with a focus on Leadership. Lilah is committed to being a role model for young people, and supports community programs and partnerships which focus on education and youth. Lilah is a mentor to ESL students at Erie House and volunteers with Girls in the Game-Chicago.

Leila Araujo is a Partner Development Manager, partnering with Google Cloud Partners. As a National Partner Development Manager supporting partners, is a very exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mindshare and adoption of Google infrastructure web services across partners ecosystem and their customers. Enable partners to drive exponential growth through the development of their practice areas, skillsets, and go-to-market with Google.

 Keynote Speaker: Angelica Coleman

Director of Community, Lesbians Who Tech + Allies

Angie is a tech aficionado who loves developing web apps, hacking APIs, building community, and bringing people together. With a background in history, she is always finding ways to use tech to further social good and solve societal issues. That and she loves talking nerdy to just about anyone.

As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, Angie regularly speaks and writes on the topic, helping companies reimagine their internal culture. She's currently the Director of Community at Lesbians Who Tech, a global community of over 40,000 queer technologists and the founder of Reboot America, an Oakland-based non-profit that builds comprehensive community solutions by bringing together technologists and researchers.

Account Manager - Health Systems

Adriana Brokus is an Account Manager in Health Systems and started at Google in March 2018. In her previous role, she managed paid media and measurement at PPG in Pittsburgh, PA. Adriana is a native of central Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Public Relations.

Panelist: Ann Wallace

Infrastructure Cloud Consultant

Ann Wallace is the Security Regional Practice Lead for Google Cloud PSO. Before Google, Ann spent 14 years at Nike in various engineering and architecture roles primarily focusing on security, cloud and devops . CloudNOW named her one of the top 10 Women in Cloud in 2015. When not working, Ann can be found traveling and ultra-trail running.

Panelist: Ayanna Berry

Senior Analytical Lead

Ayanna Berry is currently an Analytical Lead at Google in the Education vertical. She helps large academic organizations better leverage analytics and advanced measurement techniques to optimize their marketing, operations, and financial strategies.


Before coming to Google, Ayanna worked across multiple industries. Most recently, she spent 2 years in strategy consulting at Accenture where she focused largely on consumer products and retail clients. Prior to Accenture, Ayanna began her career as an Industrial Engineer at UPS. She also spent a year as a Data Manager for a large Los Angeles based charter school network. Ayanna received her MBA from NYU and a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern.

Panelist: Deanna Rowe

Google Cloud Customer Engineer

Deanna Rowe is a Customer Engineer for Google Cloud based in Chicago where she primarily focuses on enabling enterprise clients in the financial services vertical to achieve strategic initiatives through cloud technology. Outside of the day to day responsibilities of the role, she leads mindfulness classes for peers in the Chicago office and regularly participates in organizations like Girls Who Code to help enable the next generation of technologists. Before Google, Deanna was a part of IBM Cloud as a Solutions Architect and a DBA at John Deere.

Panelist: Robin Brown

Cloud Consultant, AppDev, Google

Robin Brown is the most productive when her work ignites her passion areas and leans on connecting with the people behind the computer screens doing the work. Her ultimate objective is to have a sustainable positive impact on a large population. Simplifying by utilizing transparency, collaboration, and waste take out are attributes that help her shape her tangible objectives. On a more personal level, her hobbies include running, traveling, cooking, and volunteering.

Panelist: Sarah Kaylor

Senior Software Engineer

Sarah has been a software engineer since for 16 years. She's worked for companies in the defense industry and finance and most recently is working for Google. Sarah's also a part-time faculty member at Loyola University Chicago where she teaches Operating Systems and Distributed Systems. Sarah has several articles published in IEEE and ACM journals.
